U-Turn Here

 

Since as far back as I can remember, mi Mama siempre me dijo…

"Mijito, if you love what yo do, you'll never work a day in your life" But it didn't stop there, later near the last decade of my Mama's life, she became a God fearing women after God's own heart.  Her faith rooted in Christ, active seeker of Truth, and a women of God, the last year & days we spent together, meant listening to her tell me... to- "repent and make a turn back to Jesus mijo". - Mi Mama

After making my decision in 2006 to profess Jesus as my Lord and Savior, shortly after I started serving in ministry, and studying His Word.  I spent years becoming closer to Jesus.  It wasn't until years after that, I began struggling, facing temptations from my own selfish worldly desires, compromise, disappointments, unfulfilled expectations…that I put on myself and others. I allowed these circumstances to lead me astray from my new life in Christ, slowly starting to compromise. Leading to the old me that I use to be... the one dead in sin and pure rebellion.  

Although the idea for "revivido" began in 2017-2018, by 2019 I was already in over my head, into old habits, living a double life as a "Born Again" Christian... a person who thought that I could fool God.  Taking His forgiveness for granted, I thought I had a license to do wrong things without consequences, even tho I knew what the right things to do were, I also knew what the right direction to go, but no matter how much I tried, I seemed to continue to do the wrong things, going on a path in the wrong direction, making bad choices, and bad decisions.  Thank God... mi Mama in her last days...continued to preach to me..."to turn back to Jesus mijo."

Fast forward to 2026, I was faced with some severe consequences, provoked by my bad habits leading to wrong choices.  In this divine circumstance, I found myself empty, stuck in my old self, and the old habits that come along with those old ways.

Immediately, I knew that I needed to change the direction I was once heading before... leading back to death... in my sins!

God in His grace & mercy, led me to repentance and restoration.  I did a 180, and turned from the shameful bad habits, behaviors, thought life, actions, character & lots of bad choices that I was shackled to. 

Fast forward to Now... After repenting, and rededicating my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I am now on a new Journey by His grace. 

In Honor of mi Mama, the greatest thing she did for me... is by "Faith" tell me that I needed to repent, and turn back to Jesus! 

His Word says you can do the same...

Now perhaps you can relate to my testimony...if so there is hope...The Bible says in:

1st Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Confidence in Gods promises to you in His Word-

Philippians 1:6 "He who began a good work in you, will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:38-39 "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now maybe you don't know God, but want to...

How you might ask?

The bible says that we were born into sin, separated from a Holy God. 

Basically, there’s nobody living right, not even one, we all have taken a wrong turn, and we will always miss the mark of living a holy life, without God: Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

When we continue to serve the master of self/pride in life, the world, and the devil, our commission check, the salary we get paid for our rebellious sins, is an eternity separated from God...dead in our sins!  Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death... (First part of the verse)

Romans 5:8: "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

Yep, God provided us The Way…

Romans 6:23 "but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Second half of the Verse)

Romans 10:9: "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Romans 10:13: "For, 'Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"

Salvation-being saved from the penalty of all our wrong doings, is offered as a free gift that must be received through personal faith and surrender...

Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,"

Everyone needs complete forgiveness of sins, especially when we are headed down the road leading to eternal destruction and death.

Now perhaps this is you, and you need to make a U-Turn and point your life in the right direction.

...say this prayer: 

Lord Jesus,  I know that I am a sinner.  I believe You died on the cross for my sins, I want to make a 180 in my life & turn from those sins and put my faith in you now as my Lord and Savior, my God & mi amigo.  Cleanse me from all my sins, create in me a new heart O'God, I thank you for hearing my prayer.  This I pray In Jesus name, may Your Kingdom come, and may it be revealed to me, in and through my life.  In Jesus name I pray, -Amen
